pirouettes
is/was a collaboration of friends, primarily from leeds, also from glasgow.
this geographical chasm resulted in distance somewhat interrupting our rhythm,
and as such, when we recorded in october 2004, most of the songs recorded
are improvised. we created 36 compact discs of these recordings, and placed
them in envelopes with one photographic image and negative from one thirty
six exposure film reel. utilise the mp3 format of the recordings to produce
your own compact disc, and the accompanying artwork is available to download
for high resolution reproduction with any choice of photographic image. pirouettes
have not practiced since these recordings, although it does not signal end
of productivity. tobin is in china for 5 months at the moment. one day you
might find there are new recordings here, if we ever rock together again.
